Toilet
A number of products are available for use in the toilet. The issue is whether the existing toilet is too low making it difficult to get up from or whether the use of some frames or rails will assist. Post hip replacement patients will generally find that their toilet is too low and may need to hire over toilet aids post operatively until their new hip has healed. The weight of the user is important in selecting the right product to enhance safety. If getting to the bathroom is an issue then a bedside commode may be of help or alternatively a urine bottle or pan.
